Halloween is lurking just around the corner. If you’re planning on throwing a party with your ghouls, you’re going to want to make sure you’re prepared. Anyone can hang some lights and buy a few orange plastic cups, but it takes some creativity to throw a party they’ll never forget. Use these tips to help throw a Halloween bash for the record books!
- Pimp your Pumpkins: Pumpkins aren’t just for decoration. They can be used as party props such as; an ice bucket, a fondue pot, a candy bin and many more! Take a look at the bowls and party dishes you have and see if they can be swapped for a jack-o-lantern.
- Mummify your hotdogs: Instead of a plain-old pig in a blanket, why not spook it up a bit? By wrapping the crescent roll around the hotdog and leaving a small place for the “face” you can dot mustard eyes on after it’s cooked and voila! You have a spooky holiday appetizer.
- Bloody your candles: Melt a red candle over any other color candle you are using for an extra horrifying touch.
- Ghost-pops: Cover Tootsie-pops in pieces of white fabric and tie with a festive orange ribbon. Dot a few eyes and you just spooked-up dessert. Place them in a mason jar (painted black, of course) and you have a hauntingly-perfect centerpiece.
- For those who don’t do ghosts, take a small branch from outside and spray-paint it black. Take large candy-corns and hot-glue the candy corns in the place of leaves on the branch. Stick it in a vase filled with the same candy corn and you have an edible and festive creative centerpiece alternative.
- Goblin garland: Decorate any mantle with some festive garland using either popcorn or candy-corn, or both! Just use some fishing line and a needle and start poking your way to a spooky-string of décor.
Use these tips to have yourself the most spook-tacular celebration ever! Happy Halloween!
